After stepping on an improvised explosive device, Jim Sursely left Vietnam as a disabled veteran. He wasn’t prepared for life this way until Disabled American Veterans stepped in and showed him it’s okay to be disabled. Now, Jim works first-hand with other veterans to help bring them the support and hope they deserve too.
