Actor and DAV Supporter, Joe Mantegna, encourages viewers to support Disabled American Veterans who are helping veterans and their families… like Lorrene. After serving in Afghanistan, Lorrene’s husband was greatly traumatized, and tragically took his own life as a result. Lorrene was left behind with two small children to raise, and very little help. But thanks to the DAV, Lorrene and her children are receiving care and support that have helped them get back on their feet and have hope for the future. This is her story.
